Alice Ann’s mission is to cultivate a confidence in learning and joy for education in her students. Her passion comes from a career helping children in diverse environments ranging from the classroom, to non-profit organizations, and more, but has landed her in personalized one-on-one education. The perfect combination of these experiences, along with a Master’s degree in Education has created this specialized education practice. She prides herself on supporting the whole child and guiding them in their education, however that looks.

Homeschool Curriculum & InStruction

This service is for the child who is looking beyond the traditional classroom for a rigorous and engaging at-home school program. We provide guidance through the homeschool process, beginning with finding the best curriculum, creating a schedule for class work and extracurriculars, as well as providing one-on-one instruction for classes. We have found great joy in one-on-one instruction in a homeschooling setting. Working with a family to bring the homeschool curriculum to life through lesson planning, daily sessions, class instruction, prep for the assessments and execution of assignments is our true joy! 

All-School Communication

You can't find the time to communicate effectively with your child’s teachers, counselors, and deans? This communication guide and service is for you. We take pride in our professionalism and confidentiality when it comes to making sure all involved with a child’s learning are on the same page. Making sure deadlines and requirements are clear for both children and parents, as well as expressing concerns and resolving possible issues before they become problematic!

Subject Tutoring

For the child who needs a little extra support outside of the classroom, this service is a thorough, personalized, one-on-one service to cater to specific subject tutoring. Covering subjects from English to Spanish, History to Math, standardized test prep and more, we create a plan to guide your child to success. Through preliminary assessment of your child’s learning style, examination of the course materials and requirements, and beginning where they are, we guide students to success with skills and tools they can apply in all aspects of their education.

Academic Consulting

If your family seeks guidance for school related decisions, transitions or challenges, this is the option for you. This is for the child who is struggling with executive functioning, finding their passion for learning, or seeking all around support when it comes to school. A thorough consultation allows me to get to know your child, their interests, their strengths and challenges, and gives us a foundation to build a goal oriented plan upon. We work together with your child and family to implement the plan, schedule routine support as needed, and offer an expert opinion for tough decisions about your child’s education.

MentorINg

For the child who struggles with finding inspiration in the classroom, enthusiasm while studying at home, or just simply struggles with school, We have found success with evaluating a child’s learning style, personal identity and creating lasting relationships where they find comfort and confidence. So much of the stress of school comes from feeling inadequate and not having the right tools to find emotional and social confidence. This service works to build a relationship with your child in order to bring out a confident learner and enthusiastic student!
